Creating Texture on your painting

CREATING TEXTURE: there are so many ways to create a rich texture on the canvas but probably the most simple one is by using the various modelling pastes and gels. Some examples would be: course, fine, heavy, light, sand, lava effect... You can either buy these in shops that sell art materials or order them online. The easiest tool I find to apply them on the canvas with is the palette knife. They can also be mixed with the paint or pigments. I personally prefer not to mix them with the paint but rather paint over them. It's important to let the modelling paste dry fully in that case before you apply oil or acrylic paint over it 🎨 Hope this helps and let me know in the comments have you been using any to create texture and which ones are your favourite? . . .
